About Us

A Place Where Change Begins

Crossroads Wellness provides trauma-informed, community based behavioral health services that support individuals experiencing addiction and co-occurring needs. We offer clinically appropriate care, education, prevention, and community resources that reduce stigma and promote recovery. Our Mission is grounded in safety, trust, empowerment, collaboration, and cultural responsiveness, and is shaped by ongoing input from persons served.

Who We Are

Crossroads Wellness is a community-based healthcare organization dedicated to supporting individuals facing addiction, mental health challenges, and dual diagnoses.

Our work is grounded in evidence-based clinical practices, but what truly defines us is how we deliver that care, with empathy, respect, and a genuine commitment to each person’s journey. We don’t see cases or conditions. We see people with stories, struggles, and the ability to heal.

Our mission is to deliver clinically appropriate, high-quality care while connecting individuals to the resources, support systems, and education they need to build a healthier future, through personalized treatment, prevention-focused guidance, strong community support, and timely access to the right services at every stage of recovery.

Our Approach

Healing isn’t just about addressing symptoms. It’s about rebuilding stability, rediscovering purpose, and creating a life that feels sustainable.

That’s why we focus on a whole-person approach that includes:

$

Mental, emotional, and behavioral health support

$

We meet you where you are—and walk with you from there.

We combine clinical expertise with human connection—because both matter.

Hi, I’m Megan DeVaughn, the Chief Operating Officer and Partner of Crossroads Wellness. I’m a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and a Certified Addiction Counselor in Maryland, and I bring both professional training and lived understanding into every part of my work. I hold a Master’s in Social Work, a Bachelor’s in Social Work, and an Associate of Applied Science with a concentration in Behavioral Health. I graduated summa cum laude and am a proud member of Sigma Delta Alpha, Omega Nu Lambda, and Phi Theta Kappa, honors that reflect my commitment to excellence, service, and leadership

One of the things I’m most intentional about is personally completing every intake at Crossroads Wellness. It’s something people are often surprised by, because it’s rare for someone in my role — but for me, it matters. I want every participant to be welcomed by leadership, treated with dignity from the very beginning, and introduced to our program in a way that feels human, compassionate, and grounded in possibility. Participants are not just numbers here; we pride ourselves on building real, personal connections.

Trauma-informed care is at the center of everything I do. I believe people are far more than their hardest moments, and that with safety, empathy, and the right support, healing becomes not only possible but powerful. My work focuses on building systems that honor peoples lived experiences, reduce barriers, and create environments where participants feel seen, supported, and empowered.

In my role as COO, I oversee daily operations, the HR department, program development, and all CARF, BHA, and LBHA compliance. Even with these responsibilities, I remain deeply connected to direct care — I maintain a caseload, provide peer support, and serve as the Court Liaison, ensuring participants have strong advocacy and guidance throughout their legal processes.

I’m also passionate about community collaboration. Baltimore is full of strength, resilience, and untapped potential, and I believe deeply in working together to expand support, resources, and opportunities for the people we serve.

My philosophy is simple: even in our hard times, we carry resilience. With compassion, connection, and the right guidance, no goal is too big, and no person is beyond hope. Every day, I work to make Crossroads Wellness a place where participants feel empowered, staff feel supported, and healing is truly possible.
